FAQs

How do I book?
The preferred method is online via the ‘Reservations and Contact’ page on our website (www.chateauxgonflables17.com), or by email to: chateauxgonflables17@gmail.com. Alternatively, you can call us on 07 50 37 79 57.

How much notice do I need to give for a booking?

You can book any time, however it’s always better to book as early as you can, to avoid disappointment. No matter how close your preferred date, it’s always worth contacting us to check availability and we will do our best to squeeze you in. Bear in mind that summer months can be particularly busy.

How much does it cost?

Prices vary depending on the castle and additional equipment you choose, however, our bouncy castle prices begin at €73. The delivery charge depends upon your location and we calculate the price using ‘mappy.fr’. For example, our delivery charge to Pons is €6.00 and to Cognac it is €10.00 See our full price list (including delivery charges) here.

What do the prices include?

The price includes inflation and set up, use for six hours, and deflation and collection. All bouncy castle booking prices include an electrical blower, extension cable and safety crash mats. Generators can be supplied at additional cost for remote locations.

How long do I get the equipment for?

Your booking entitles you to six hours use of the bouncy castle and equipment. We deliver from 08:00 am and our latest collection time is 22:00 pm.

When are your bouncy castles available?

Our castles are available 7 days a week all year round, including public holidays.

Do you stay with the equipment?

No we do not stay. Once you are happy with the set up and all paperwork has been completed we leave and then return later to pack up/collect the equipment.

Do I have to pay a deposit?

For installations at private homes there is no deposit. For bookings made for installations in public or commercial premises, there is a security deposit of €100.00, which is returned immediately upon collection of the equipment, assuming the equipment is in a satisfactory state.

How do I pay?

We would prefer to receive cash on delivery. We also accept cheques. All payments must be made in full before we install any equipment.

What if I need to cancel?

You can cancel at any time up to the day before the installation date; however, we ask that you give us as much notice as possible. If no notice is given you will incur a cancellation fee of €50.00.

What if it rains?

All the bouncy castles come with shower covers to protect them in the event of showers. Unfortunately, for safety reasons, the bouncy castles cannot be used in heavy rain or in very windy conditions. Most of our equipment is also suitable for use in an indoor venue. It is well worth having a back-up plan – perhaps your local salle de fête.

Can the bouncy castle be set up on a slope?

If it is a very slight slope it may be possible. You must bring this up prior to confirming a booking so that we can provide best advice once we know the exact circumstances.

How long does it take to set up/inflate/deflate/pack up the bouncy castle?

Under normal circumstances, it takes approximately 30 minutes to set up the bouncy castles, and around 30 minutes to deflate and pack away. However this is only an estimate and times may vary depending on which castle and how much additional equipment you hire.

How does the castle stay up?

We use an electric blower, which stays on all the time the inflatable is in use, and we will need access to a power supply and can provide up to 50 meters of extension lead.

What if the castle starts to deflate?

Ensure that the children leave the castle immediately. Check the power supply and check that nothing is obstructing the air inlet on the blower (e.g. plastic bag covering the suction grille). If neither of these options is causing the problem, call us immediately on: 07 50 37 79 57.

How much space is needed?

You will need to allow a minimum of 1.5m at the front and rear of castle and 1m either side, so as to allow space for access and for the blower at the rear. Please be sure to remove all garden items from the area where the castle is to be sited, e.g. garden toys, swings, slides, patio furniture, etc., and ensure that the site is clean and free from rubbish and/or animal excrement.

When I hire the castle is there anything I need to provide?
We supply all the hardware you will need for the castle. You will need to provide a 240 volts mains power supply. You will need to provide two forms of I.D., e.g., a driving licence, ID card, utility bill, etc.

Can you deliver up a flight of steps?

No. Because of the size and weight of the inflatable, it is not possible to manoeuvre it up/down stairs. One or two steps may be possible.

Do you supply safety instructions?

Yes we provide detailed safety instructions with every hire and all bouncy castles have very clear guidelines printed on the front.

Can I have a bouncy castle set up on a hard surface?

Yes, but this must be confirmed at the time of booking to allow staff to bring ground sheets and sand bags, and the castle must not be in an exposed location. The castles are far better anchored on soft ground. If there is any increase in wind and the castle is sited on a hard surface, the castle must be emptied and the blower turned off until the wind subsides. For this reason, we always prefer to site castles on soft ground (not sand) or indoors if there is any possibility of strong wind.

Do you have public liability insurance?

Yes. We have public liability cover and copies of the insurance certificate can be supplied on request.

N.B. You, as the hirer, are responsible for ensuring the supervision by a responsible adult of the inflatable during the hire period, and any injuries/accidents caused other than by our negligence are not covered by our insurance policy.

What is the Disclaimer?

When we deliver the castle, you will be required to sign the Disclaimer Form to say that you have fully read and understood the Terms and Conditions of hire and safety aspects.

Is there an age limit for children using the castle?

Yes our castles are suitable for children up to and including the age of 16.

Can Adults use the inflatable?

No.
